Will a WiFi Card work WITHOUT the antenna?
Im just wondering, would I be able to use a PCI Belkin WiFi card for my desktop, without the black antenna/aerial that screws on the back?
There is a small nip of copper hanging out of the output hole and was wondering if its strong enough to receive signal from the next room, or I could setup a wireless ad-hoc to my wireless laptop to get the internet (the laptop would be no further than 5 metres from the desktop?

Reecey Boy: Thanks, I was hoping I could get a little out of it at least, maybe I could make a homemade antenna using household materials? I’ll have to do a google search

Hi there it may work but the signal will be low very and very slow
Remember the antenna is to direct the signal.
